Config File Location

NetScene's local config file is saved by default at:

~/Library/Application Support/NetScene/config.json

Config Contents

The config file mainly contains:

Network rules
Wi-Fi settings
Network service enable and disable settings
IP and DNS settings
App actions
Launch Guard

Manual Editing Is Not Recommended

Although the config file is JSON, manual editing is not recommended unless you understand its structure.

Wrong fields, invalid UUIDs, incorrect network service names, or invalid app paths may cause rules to fail.

If you need to migrate or back up configuration, prefer the import and export feature inside the app.

Backup Recommendations

Export a backup before:

Modifying many rules
Changing computers
Upgrading to a new version
Copying configuration to another device

Exported JSON files may contain network and app path information. Keep them safe.
